B2B Marketing for Norfolk & LMG: Repositioning a Leading Sri Lankan Food Manufacturer

    About the brand

Norfolk Foods is one of Sri Lanka’s leading FMCG food manufacturers, producing halal meat, poultry, seafood, and vegetarian products from HACCP-approved facilities. The company supplies hotels, restaurants, global food chains, and bakeries across Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and Bangladesh.

LMG (Lean Mean Green) is Norfolk’s innovation-focused sub-brand, offering modern, health-conscious, and sustainable food solutions for the hospitality industry.

Together, both brands required a stronger B2B marketing approach that clearly communicated their individual strengths while maintaining a cohesive brand presence across Facebook and LinkedIn.

    Challenge

The challenge was to modernise a long-established FMCG manufacturer for today’s hospitality sector.

While Norfolk needed to reinforce its credibility and scale, LMG required a fresh identity centred around innovation and sustainability.

At the same time, both brands needed clearer positioning, stronger visual consistency, and more effective product storytelling for procurement teams and hospitality decision-makers.

    Approach

To achieve this, we developed a content-first B2B marketing strategy that strengthened both positioning and communication.

Norfolk was repositioned around industry leadership, production capability, certifications, and trust.

Meanwhile, LMG focused on innovation, healthier food solutions, and sustainability.

In addition, we refreshed the visual direction across both brands by introducing a cleaner and more premium design system. This helped improve readability, strengthen credibility, and create a more professional appearance across Facebook and LinkedIn.

    Execution

Once the strategy had been established, we implemented structured monthly content plans aligned with clear communication pillars.

A LinkedIn-first approach allowed us to reach procurement professionals, hotel decision-makers, distributors, and hospitality partners more effectively.

Furthermore, Norfolk and LMG were differentiated through distinct visual systems while maintaining consistency across the parent brand.

As a result, every piece of content reinforced the appropriate positioning while improving brand recognition.

    Results

The refreshed B2B marketing strategy improved visibility across LinkedIn and Facebook while strengthening brand perception among hospitality professionals.

Product-focused content, certification-led messaging, and educational storytelling consistently generated the strongest engagement.

Moreover, the refined visual identity clearly differentiated Norfolk’s legacy and manufacturing expertise from LMG’s innovation-led positioning.

Ultimately, the project strengthened trust, improved content consistency, and established a clearer digital identity for both brands within Sri Lanka’s B2B hospitality industry.
